Introduction to the basic concepts of music. Students develop an understanding of instruments, notes & sounds. Students will be able to identify the parts of a song and be able to construct a song using those elements.
Introduction to basics of music composition and editing. Students develop an understanding of the techniques and fundamentals of music creation and editing.Students will build on the knowledge they’ve acquired in Music I to record, mix, engineer, produce, and create music and sound for the music industry, movies, video games, and more. Students will also create, arrange and edit a song using the nonlinear music editing software ProTools.
Advanced-level course. Students develop an understanding of the complete recording process: microphones and placement techniques, audio console operation, multitrack recording and signal processors. Students learn basic tracking techniques, studio set up and break down and multiple recording sessions.
Learn to record, mix, engineer, produce, and create music and sound for the music industry, movies, video games, and more. Work on the same audio equipment the professionals use.
